District of Taylor
Taylor is now officially Village on a Diet!! The 12 part CBC TV series is on air and inspiring an entire Nation. Our website visits jumped from 350 per day to 1350 per day! We’re getting some amazing stories from people thru our website, and we wouldn’t have been able to reach out like this, or have people tap in so easily, if we didn’t have our website strategy in place... At the District of Taylor, we knew we had to do a better job communicating to tourists, business partners and most importantly our residents. Our site is really easy to update, upload photos, create links, etc. The help manual is also handy so I can answer my own simple questions really quickly - I like that they are training me to be more self-sufficient. We provided minimal direction and did not have the time to be very involved in the design of the site. However, Spark Design sensed what we were looking for and went ahead on their instinct, with a good outcome. I am no expert in the whole website business, so I had and still have a lot of questions and they always take their time to explain it in simple terms. A problem I had with the google map was solved the same evening. It turned out really well, and the fact, that I can change the content at any time allowed me to launch the site even though it isn't quite perfect yet.... but the exposure is there and I can update it at any time.
