Launch of the Town of Smithers’ New Website
The Town of Smithers has launched its new website at www.smithers.ca. This project started last fall, along with the redesign of the new Tourism Smithers website (which is expected to be launched sometime in June).
The Town contracted SparkDesign Web & Print, to completely revamp the whole site including integration of the new Town of Smithers logos, the “Simply Exceptional” brand and branding colours, which the Town adopted in early 2008.
The site has many great new features, including Quick Finder buttons, Search capabilities, Event Calendars, to name a few. All municipal content found on the previous Town of Smithers website is located within the Residents, Businesses and Municipal Hall sections of the new site. The Visitor tab will take you automatically to the Smithers Tourism site. The Economic Development tab will direct you to a video about Smithers that was created last year. The Smithers Airport tab takes you to information about the Smithers Airport including up to date information on plane arrivals and departures.
There will be ongoing changes made to the site over the next few months as new information is added.
