Inbound Links

Inbound links can bring new users to your site, and when the links are coming from another website with high rank, they’re one of the positive signals to a Search Engine about your site’s importance. Search Engines look at more than 100 pieces of data to determine a site’s ranking. Inbound links are high on the list. Among other things, Search Engines rank sites based on popularity. If popular and credible like-minded sites link to you, their reputation rubs off and help you get to the top of a search list.

Put simply—it’s worth putting effort into getting other sites to “link” back to you. “One way” links are best but reciprocal links with related or associated businesses are also very useful. NOTE: NEVER getting involved in link farms, or other linking scams. These will hurt your listing or even get you blacklisted from reputable Search Engines like Google. If you create a quality site full of real content, promote it properly and the inbound links will accrue.
